Local Area Information

We are delighted to offer our lovely holiday apartment so you can enjoy the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire and surrounding area.

The apartment is situated in Pembroke, which is steeped in history.  As well as the medieval castle, there is the ancient city wall and in Main Street there are numerous tudor and georgian houses and buildings.

The town has many pubs and restaurants serving food to suit all tastes and pockets.

There is a Tourist Information Centre in the town, providing information on attractions and activities in and around the surrounding area.

Pembroke town hall has its own museum, where children and adults alike can learn about the eventful history of the town.

Paddle West, which is opposite the apartment, offers rowing boats and canoe hire on the Mill Pond during the summer months.

Pembrokeshire has a magnificent coastline and is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. The 186 mile coast path passes by some beautiful sandy beaches, hidden bays and small fishing villages.

There are many places to observe wildlife. Birdwatching is abundant. The island of skomer provides the chance to get really close to numerous puffin colonies (trips need to be booked in advance). Seals can be observed both in the sea and on the beaches during the pupping season (September/October). Dolphins can also be seen from the coastline.

Further afield from the apartment are the seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot which are both a 20 minute drive away.

Boat trips from Tenby to visit Caldey Island can be booked and wildlife observation boat trips can also be arranged.
